Math Curriculum

Welcome! Please also check out my blog entries on this page.

At Northbridge Middle School we recognize how important a parent's role is in the educational success of our students. Math, in particular, is one area of the curriculum that has the potential to cause anxiety in children and parents alike. Students entering middle school are particularly susceptible to these feelings. As we educate our students to be 21st century learners, a deep understanding of math has become all the more important. With all of this in mind, myself and the math teaching staff at NMS have worked hard revising our curriculum to better meet the needs of this generation of students.

These changes to the curriculum, while necesssary, will be an adjustment for all of us. While staff and students have the opportunity to adjust to these changes as they're happening in the classroom, parents oftentimes are left with questions. My goal for this website is to answer as many of those questions as I can anticipate and provide you with resources and contacts should any additional questions come up.

Please take some time to look through the pages that are available on this site. More pages and links will be added over time. My blog will provide regular updates on our progress over at NMS and address any pressing issues affecting the curriculum.

Questions that are specific to your child's teacher or grades should be directed to his or her classroom teacher but any more general questions related to what is being taught, how it is being taught or where to look for additional resources can always be directed to me, my contact info is available on this site.

Thanks, I hope you find this site useful. Please let me know if there's anything you like or would like to see more of. Enjoy!
