Recent School Tragedies Feb 14, 2018

Dear Northbridge Families,

I know that I speak for all of us that these continued tragedies are heartbreaking and concerning.  Our hearts break for these families and communities in these senseless, vicious acts.  Schools should be a haven of safety, security, and comfort for students, staff, and families.
We are working with the Northbridge Police Department to ensure that we will have additional police presence for the next two days.  As always, we will remain vigilant to individuals on the premises and changes in the surroundings.  We have plans and protocols in place for emergencies, which we review and practice with students and staff.
It is important that we continue to provide support and security for all students.  If you have any questions about how to discuss such issues with your child(ren), or you are concerned that your child(ren) may be experiencing some anxiety around such events, please reach out to your school administrators and school adjustment counselors.  They will be able to provide resources and suggestions for handling such topics in an age appropriate manner.
These resources may help as well:
February 19-23 is Winter Break. We wish you a relaxing time with your family.
We'll look forward to the return of the students on Monday, February 26th.
