Sue-Ellen Morganelli

I have taught second grade for 15 years now and love this grade!! I enjoy the student's enthusiasm and their love for learning. My classroom provides a cooperative learning environment where children are grouped together at tables where they can work individually , in pairs or in cooperative groups depending on the activity. My favorite activities involve reading and writing. I enjoy writer's workshop where the children can learn the stages of the writing process while working independently on various pieces of writing throughout the year. Children often work at center activities during language arts where they learn the foundations of spelling while completing fun word work activities. I try to provide a welcoming environment, where I can get to know my students and where they are not afraid to take risks in their learning.
