Getting Started with Google Classroom
Welcome to our district! We know many families are new to using Google Classroom, so we’ve put together some helpful information to get you started.
What is Google Classroom?
Google Classroom is an online learning platform where teachers post assignments, share resources, and communicate with students. Families can also receive email summaries to help stay informed about classwork.
How Students Log In
Go to classroom.google.com or open the Google Classroom app (available on iOS and Android).
Sign in with your child’s school-issued Google account (username and password provided by the school).
Once signed in, your child will see their classes and assignments.
How Parents/Guardians Can Stay Involved
Parents and guardians don’t log directly into Google Classroom. Instead, you can receive Guardian Email Summaries that include:
Missing work
Upcoming assignments
Class announcements and activities
If you’d like to receive Guardian Summaries, please reach out to your child’s teacher to be added.
