ArxEd Training (Mandated Compliance Training)

All employees are required to complete the ArxEd online training modules. These short, interactive courses cover important topics such as workplace conduct, student safety, boundaries, bullying prevention, and other compliance areas required by state and district policy.

You will receive an email invitation from ArxEd (no-reply@arxed.com) with login instructions. Please complete all assigned modules by the stated deadline to ensure compliance. Completion records are automatically tracked and shared with administration.

If you have any questions or do not receive your ArxEd login information, please submit a help desk ticket and we’ll be happy to assist.

Classwize (PK-12 Classroom Teachers only)

Classwize is a classroom management tool that helps teachers create a focused learning environment by providing visibility into student activity during class. With Classwize, teachers can monitor student screens, guide students to appropriate learning resources, reduce distractions, and support student engagement during digital learning activities.

To access Classwize, classroom teachers should navigate to the Classwize login page and select "Sign in with Google." Use your school-issued Google account credentials to log in. This single sign-on option provides secure access and eliminates the need to remember a separate username and password.

Clever

Clever provides students and staff with convenient access to digital learning resources. While some applications are fully integrated and rostered through Clever, others are simply linked within the portal for easy access. The presence of an application in Clever does not necessarily mean student data is being shared through Clever, nor does it indicate that the application has been approved for use with student data.

Any app, website, extension, or online service that requires student logins or collects, stores, or processes student information must have an approved Data Privacy Agreement (DPA) before use.

Before Using a Digital Resource:

  • Check the approved NPS Online Resources list on the Technology Website.

  • If the resource is not listed, submit a FreshDesk ticket for review.

  • Do not assume a tool is approved simply because it appears in Clever.

FreshDesk (for Technology Requests)

Freshdesk is our help desk system for managing requests and support. Instead of emailing or calling, submit a ticket so it can be tracked and resolved quickly.

What You Can Do in Freshdesk:

  • Submit Requests: Report tech issues, classroom needs, or questions.

  • Track Progress: See the status of your ticket and who it’s assigned to.

  • Use the Knowledge Base: Search FAQs and guides for quick self-help.

  • Communicate Easily: Reply within the ticket for updates instead of long email chains.

  • Faster Support: Requests are routed to the right person automatically.

Tip: Always include details (device, error message, location, etc.) when submitting a ticket—this helps speed up resolution.

The help desk is linked to your NPS email account. Always use “Continue with Google” on both the Support Portal and Freshworks Sign-In pages—manually entering your email and password will not work.

When you submit a ticket:

  • The NPS Technology Team is automatically notified.

  • You’ll receive follow-up emails with questions, updates, or resolution steps.

  • Requests are addressed in the order they are received.

For step-by-step instructions on logging in and submitting a ticket, visit our Technology Website → Resources & Help → Submitting a Help Desk Ticket.

Infinite Campus (if applicable)

Infinite Campus (IC) is our student information system. It allows teachers and staff to access student records, attendance, grades, schedules, and other important information in one secure platform.

The quickest way to access IC is through the NPS Staff Bookmarks folder. It can also be accessed via the Technology Website, District Website, or Clever.

When you log in for the first time, you will be prompted to enter a security email. This email allows you to use the Forgot Password feature if needed. Enter a school or personal email you use frequently.

  1. You will receive a verification email at the address you provided.

  2. Accept the verification email to complete your account setup.

NPS Staff Bookmarks Folder

We know it can be frustrating to track down the tools you use every day. To make things easier, we’ve added an NPS Staff Bookmarks folder to the top left of your Chrome Bookmarks Bar.

Inside, you’ll find quick links to commonly used district sites and resources—giving you fast, easy access to what you need. No more searching or typing—just one click and you're there.

Note: This folder will appear once your Google account is synced with the Chrome browser.

School Dude (for Maintenance Requests)

SchoolDude is linked to your NPS email account and is the required system for all faculty and staff to submit maintenance requests, report issues, or share facility-related concerns.

When you submit a request:

  • The maintenance team is automatically notified.

You may receive follow-up emails with questions, updates, or status changes.

Student Data Privacy (through TEC)

At Northbridge Public Schools, protecting student data privacy is a top priority. As we embrace innovative digital tools to enhance learning, we are committed to ensuring the privacy and security of all student information.

To support this mission, we have partnered with the Massachusetts Student Privacy Alliance (MSPA) and The Education Cooperative (TEC) to secure Data Privacy Agreements (DPAs) with vendors whose tools collect student data that may include personally identifiable information (PII). If you plan to use a digital application, website, or browser extension that requires students to log in with their school-issued email accounts, you must submit a request through Fresh Desk.

Before submitting your request, please check the list of NPS Online Resources to see if the tool has already been approved. Many commonly used resources are already vetted and listed. Please note:

  • If a DPA already exists within our Student Data Privacy Consortium, the approval process typically takes 1–3 days.

  • If a new DPA is required, it can take several weeks or more to finalize, depending on vendor response times.

Swank K-12 Streaming (for Movie Requests)

NPS uses Swank K-12 Streaming as our approved platform for showing films in the classroom. Unlike Netflix, Hulu, or Disney+, Swank provides educational and feature films licensed specifically for schools, so teachers can show content legally and safely.

To learn how to request a movie through Swank, please visit our Technology website, navigate to Resources & Help, and click on the file titled Movie/Video Request.

TeachPoint (if applicable):

  • Record and track your professional growth and learning activities.
