Northbridge Association of Churches (NAC)

The Northbridge Association of Churches (NAC) sponsors the NAC Food Pantry, the Blackstone Valley Free Medical Program for those who are uninsured, and the Peace of Bread Community Kitchen.

NAC Food Pantry:

The NAC Food Pantry is located at 20 Highland St., Whitinsville, in the basement of the Senior Center. They are open Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and on Thursdays from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

Peace of Bread Community Kitchen:

Peace of Bread Community Kitchen is every Wednesday evening 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the Presbyterian Church at 7 Spring St. A hot meal is provided free.

Operation Suitcase:

The NAC supports Operation Suitcase by donating clothing, shoes, etc.  It is located at 1 Main St, Whitinsville, on the third floor, at the Bell Tower entrance.  It is open only on Saturdays from 12:00 to 4:00 pm.

Catholic Charities:

If the family will go to Catholic Charities, they will be told about help with their heating bill, rent payment, and utilities discounts. Catholic Charities is located at 9 Spring St., Whitinsville and the hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The NAC has an emergency fund to aid families in need which is administered by Catholic Charities.

Multilingual Assistance from Health Care for All
The Health Care for All Helpline is the only statewide phone service that helps Massachusetts residents at all income levels with enrolling in health insurance coverage, answering questions about insurance, and troubleshooting cases. Counselors fully trained in all the state programs are available in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Open enrollment continues in Massachusetts until Jan 23.
