Important Update: Effective Tuesday, March 17th the Governor has ordered all schools, state-wide, to close for a period of three weeks through April 7th.

A message from NORTHBRIDGE PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Good evening Northbridge Staff and Families:

As you have probably heard on the news this evening, the Governor has ordered all schools, state-wide, to close for a period of three weeks, commencing Tuesday, March 17th through April 7th.

Northbridge had already planned a two-week closure beginning tomorrow, March 16th.  As such, our now three-week closure will still begin tomorrow.

We are having brief meetings with staff tomorrow to firm up our student learning plans, communication strategies and expectations, as well as any other issues that may arise during this closure.

I will provide families with an update tomorrow evening that includes any and all information and updates about our procedures and practices to keep NPS moving forward during this closure.

Tomorrow, I will also be providing you with an FAQ document for parent reference which I will update frequently, as more decisions are made, and more information is available.

If you have any questions or concerns prior to this release of information tomorrow, please feel free to call any of the buildings or Central Office, and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

We are all in uncharted waters here, and we know it's not going to be an easy ride, but this is a dedicated, caring and connected district of staff and families, and I know we will all work together to help one another not just "get through this."  but come out stronger.

Sincerely,

Amy McKinstry, Superintendent
